The Live Lead Free QC (LLFQC) Coalition has helped remediate 12 properties with almost 30 children amongst the properties.
Samantha J., a LLFQC recipient from Davenport, said:
“When we discovered that my youngest son had high lead levels, I really didn’t know what to do or how to fix it. Luckily for us, the health department, the city of Davenport and Live Lead Free were there for us every step of the way. These three organizations partnered together to not only help get my son back down to normal levels but made my home a lead-safe environment. The amount of work that the city and Live Lead Free funded for my home is something I never would have been able to do on my own. They allowed my house to be a safe environment for my three boys and I am so incredibly grateful for everything all three of these organizations has done for us over the last year. Without their guidance and support, I would not have been able to fix my home or get my son’s lead levels down again. I cannot thank LLFQC, the City of Davenport, and the Scott County Health Department enough!”
